Bio/Contact

This is me.

👋 Yepppp. That’s me, a failed youth pastor turned ACD Copywriter. Well, I’m a human, first; a son, second; a husband, third; a father to an adorable Pit Bull, fourth; a Texan, fifth; and then an ACD Copywriter (please don’t show this to my wife).

I was born in Houston, raised in Al Khobar, molded in New York, and am currently living my best life in Amsterdam.

Over the past decade-plus, I’ve shopped small with Shaq, turned beer bottles into bangers, played with food, danced with pumpkins, ordered takeout all over Europe, and even did a little time-traveling.  So, what should we do next?!?

I love meeting new folks, so say hi, or better yet, howdy at COPYRAPPER@GMAIL.COM

This guy! Amazing in all ways. Amazing human being. Amazing writer. Amazing team player and collaborator. Amazing conceptual thinker. Amazingly hard worker. It’s impossible to not be infected by his personality. Anyone would be lucky to have him on their team.
— Lisa Bright, CCO
Not only is Mark one of the nicest guys you’ll ever work with, but he’s also one of the best. He can work with anyone and help get the best out of them, he’s a great collaborator and great writer. He understands how to adapt his writing style to a wide range of audiences and clients. He’s also a great person to have in a brainstorm and a real asset to any team he’s part of.
— Tim Clarke, ECD
Mark is a copywriter you want on all of your projects. He spends time getting to know the project beforehand, and gets involved with his strategist during and after the briefing process - keeping a direct line open to his internal teams throughout the creative process. A bright, passionate, and enthusiastic creative, Mark takes feedback to heart, but is not shy to push back and fight for what he believes in. You can that Mark is passionate about what he does, because he’s the first one to step in and get everyone alongside him excited, it makes the job of a strategist that much more fun when everyone’s as excited as we are...so I’ve got to thank Mark for all of the energy and enthusiasm he brought to all my briefs.
— Paolo Pazzia, Strategist
Mark is one of the most unassuming creatives with whom I’ve had the opportunity to work. His affable nature makes him instantly popular with clients and across all agency departments. His wise-beyond-years understanding and love for the craft, combined with his penchant for innovative and disruptive work, make those around him want to be better creators and marketers.
— Audrey Trevino, Account Director
Every day, I ask myself WWMWD—What Would Mark Walter Do? I was extremely fortunate to have Mark as my lead and my cheerleader. His mentorship was invaluable and I’m a better copywriter and creative for it. His consistent support, guidance, and encouragement meant everything to me as I transitioned into a new career. He offered resources, options, agency, and opportunities to advance my skills and my role; but he never let me rest on my laurels.

As a Creative, his instincts truly inspire awe. He makes crafting ideas and copy look easy and natural, like a reflex. Clients and colleagues are consistently impressed and relieved to have him on a project. He is a trusted member of every team, and I would jump at an opportunity to work with him again. 5 stars. No notes.
— Jayna Swartzman-Brosky, Creative
Mark is the reason people think writing is easy. It’s so good but effortless (looking).
— Ernie Klein, Executive Producer
Mark is a rare breed. We worked together as a team for about a year, and I have yet to find anyone as collaborative and constructive since. Mark can put himself in the shoes of any target audience and is greatly skilled at everything from writing individual headlines to concept manifestos (just don’t call it a manifesto).

We were on an absolute roll before he had to depart - some of the best work of my own career came out of our partnership. Mark might be the most level-headed creative I have ever met. He doesn’t let any bumps in the road throw him off and always has a smile on his face.
— Taylor Baybutt, Creative Director
He really loves Texas. And waffles.
— Nathan Hoang, best friend
